The CCPA gives California residents the right to opt-out of future sales of their personal information, the right to know how their data is being used, what categories of data are being collected, the data a covered business has about a resident, and the ability to delete that data from a covered business. Collectively these are known as the Right to Opt-Out, Access, and Delete. This portal enables California residents to exercise these rights with AARP.

Please submit a request as follows:

Opt-Out - California residents have the right to opt out of the sale of your personal data to third parties.

Access - For a complete explanation of how AARP collects personal information, what we do with it, who we share it with, and how we are complying with the California Consumer Privacy Act, please see AARP's Privacy Policy here.  You have the right to request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal data we have collected about you, as well as the categories of sources from which such information is collected, the purpose for collecting such information, and the categories of third parties with whom we share such information. California residents have the right to request information about our sale or disclosure for business purposes of your personal data to third parties in the preceding 12 months.

Delete - California residents have the right to request the deletion of your personal data. Please note, deletion of data may remove all record of your membership, up to and including cancellation of any active membership, volunteer, advocacy or website activity, and you would need to re-enter this information to engage with AARP as you have historically. Deletion would also mean losing all membership privileges, such as AARP discounts to AARP-branded products and services such as retail and travel discounts and insurance plans and any accumulated loyalty points.
